Leslie Crawford is the Financial Times bureau chief in Madrid. She has covered Spain for the newspaper since 2000. Her previous foreign postings with the FT include Chile during the transition to democracy in the early 1990s, Africa during the Rwandan genocide and Mexico in the mid-1990s.

Susi Dennison

Susi Dennison is a policy fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, working on human rights and democracy promotion. In particular, she is a specialist in human rights protection and the promotion of democracy and the EU’s relationship with Africa, Asia and the Americans.

Patrick Diamond

Patrick Diamond was the director of Policy Network until 2007, when he joined the UK Commission for Equality and Human Rights. He is a senior visiting fellow at the London School of Economics and has been a transatlantic fellow at the German Marshall Fund and special adviser to the British Prime Minister.

Gilles Doronsoro

Gilles Dorronsoro, a visiting scholar at the Carnegie Endowment, is an expert on Afghanistan, Turkey and South Asia. His research focuses on security and political development in Afghanistan, and particularly on the role of the International Security Assistance Force, and the steps necessary to create a viable government in Kabul.

Helena Drakakis

Helena Drakakis is associate editor and head of the news team at The Big Issue magazine. She previously worked as a non-fiction editor for publishing company Bloomsbury Plc before embarking on a career in journalism. She has reported from India and Sierra Leone.

Iana Dreyer

Iana Dreyer is a trade policy analyst at ECIPE, the European Centre for International Political Economy. Her current research focuses on EU-Asian and EU-Eurasian commercial relations and her core interests lie in Russia’s emergence in the world economy, EU-China relations and Indian trade policies.

Anthony Dworkin

Anthony Dworkin is a senior policy fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations. He also the executive director of the Crimes of War Project, and is the author of ECFR’s recent policy brief, "Beyond the 'War on Terror': Towards a New Transatlantic Framework for Counter-Terrorism".

Jonny Dymond

Jonny Dymond is one of the BBC's Europe correspondents, based in Brussels. Prior to his appointment in mid-2005, he was for three-and-a-half years the BBC Istanbul correspondent, covering stories across Turkey and the Middle East.

Darryl Edwards

Darryl Edwards is president of Europe, the Middle East and Africa for Nortel. He is also chairman of the board for both Nortel Israel and Nortel’s joint venture in Turkey, Nortel Netas. He joined the company in 1992.

Charles Emmerson

Charles Emmerson is the author of The Future History of the Arctic (Random House, 2010). He works as a writer and adviser on foreign policy, energy, environment and risk issues, having served as an associate director of the World Economic Forum until February 2008.

Fredrik Erixon

Fredrik Erixon is a director and co-founder of the European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE), a world-economy think tank based in Brussels. He is the author of several books and studies in the fields of international economics and trade policy.
